Phipps Pt. is Canadian artist Lovage Sharrock's project with Bay Area-based electronic musician Jon Leidecker (Wobbly, Negativland, Thurston Moore Group)
Falling somewhere between precise songcraft and free improv, acid folk and ambient electronics, the music Sharrock and Leidecker create is an ongoing sonic conversation between two singular artists listening and responding to one another with care and curiosity. Demonsleeper is Alexandra Buschman-Román, aka Sandy, a Puerto Rican experimental sound artist and vocalist. As a singer, composer, and electronic percussionist, she/they draw from Afro-Caribbean music and Taino stories and started making experimental music in 1999 Puerto Rico with electro-acoustic group Synesthesia. Alexandra is half of avant-tropical duo Las Sucias and one third of Trio del Mango. Lucky for Brooklyn, Sandy now local.
