Radio lets you talk to your comrades without depending on cell towers, ISPs, or even running electricity -- but only if you know how it works!
Come to this workshop to learn how to make radio part of your emergency preparedness plan. We'll cover the two types of radio you should consider, specific models that are good for beginners, how to can take advantage of existing radio infrastructure, how (and if!) to get licensed, and much more. We will also cover Meshtastic and Meshcore.
This workshop is presented by Dan Tennery-Spalding, co-founder of the Lefty Radio League, an SF bay area group building a community of practice around radio for fun or disaster prep.
No radio experience is expected or required. Requested donation is $5-$25 but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
