Come watch a few documentary shorts about the Community of Squatted Prosfygika and participate in group discussions on the potential for international solidarity in our local communities.
The Community has existed for 16 years and is made up of more than 400 residents, including 50 children. Many are refugees and migrants: residents come from 27 different nationalities, speaking 20 different languages.
In this time, the Community has flourished and survived several eviction attempts, in the process turning this small quarter of Athens into a hub for revolutionary internationalism and collective life. Today this fabric of solidarity and communal life is under serious threat. Let’s stand in solidarity with them and all communities in struggle!
Now two comrades are on hunger strike unto death in defense of life, the life of the Community. We are with them as they struggle to the end.
